As I was reading my cousin's blog, I saw a new post of hers that referenced to a blog-site about fixing girl's hair. Of course, I HAD to check it out since I'm such a girly girl and love fixing hair. The blog-site had tons of ideas and it even had ideas for the "hair-impaired". Marley's hair is finally long enough to attempt a few of the shorter hair ideas (after her older brother decided he wanted her to look like a boy and cut her hair above her ear...eek!). I was so excited to put my new hair knowledge to the test, I sat Marley down and went to town. I think the new hairdo's turned out really cute.
For the front, I wanted to tie her bangs back and I gave her an off-center part. I did what is referred to as a "puffy braid" to tie up the short hairs for the front and back.
Back view of the puffy braids to tie up her very short hairs in the rear. I ended the puffy braids in two pig tails with double bows. As you can see, it took quite a few puffy braids to keep it neat. However, it is a cute way to accomplish a clean, polished and adorable 'do! I finished off the look by using a curling iron on the piggies.
I always, always use true ceramic & tourmaline tools which is the safest for everyone's hair, especially a child's delicate hair. I use a Neo by Hot Tools curling iron which cost me $80 because it is truely a ceramic with tourmaline product, not ceramic plated which is a hoax. Yes, this is very pricey for a tool, but this price was the least expensive for the real solid ceramic with tourmaline crystals, which is a gemstone (this is why it is so pricey). I understand most people would not spend this much and that's fine, but I wanted to inform that damage will occur.
